Jonah the cat..

Jonah was a beautiful Lilac Point Himalayan Siamese.

He was a kitten of about 5 months old, when he came into our lives. He was lost, and my oldest son found him at the dumpsters, when we lived in Montana.  I am sure he escaped out of a camper/motor home.. and the owners had to have been greatly pained at loosing him and not finding him. My son found him.. and rescued him and brought him to me. I didn't want another cat.. or a Siamese.. I get to attached... I put up notices all over our little town, in the Post Office and Grocery Store.. and waited 3 weeks.. No one claimed him.. by then I was sunk and loved him dearly. But the stinker would not be an indoor cat. That, I am sure, is how he got lost to begin with. I then took him to the vet and did the necessary things for him..

We had him 6 years.. he was amazing.. but he loved the outside so much, that when we moved to a woodsy part of the state, of Washington.. we built him a cattery.  A family tragedy occurred and we were called out of state, the people watching the place.. didn't latch the door to the cattery... When we got back home, Jonah was gone.. never to be seen or heard from again. And then the dreams started. I would see, as if from his point of view.. him running by moonlight in the woods.. and being chased by another animal. The fight and the loss of life.. I would cry and cry.. it was awful.. to imagine he would have died this way. I resented the dreams after a while and asked what they were for and why they kept coming..  Finally one night.. the dream reoccurred.. and this time, I felt it from His point of view..  and the true reason why the dreams came.. He wanted me to know what had happened to him.. that even though he is now gone from the earth in body, he remains alive and healthy in spirit. He knew I was in anguish over his disappearance so came to show me what  had happened.

I hope this story is not too disturbing to any of the readers.. I post it to show how the Spirit works in our lives.. Nothing is too small or unimportant.

I have had other animals actually communicate their goodbyes to me, the last time we see each other. These animals were not sick, they were healthy. They make eye contact and communicate.
